Luggage restrictions

Checked-in Suitcase

  • Regional flights to Johannesburg: Baggage allowance is one suitcase (20kg) per person.
  • Flight to Madrid via Dubai: Baggage allowance is two pieces, each weighing up to 23kg per person.
  • Return flights from Madrid to Mallorca: Baggage allowance is one suitcase (23kg) per person.
Note: Liquids, perfumes, creams, and sharp objects (e.g., nail files, nail clippers, scissors) must be packed in checked luggage.

Hand Luggage (Cabin Bag)

  • Each person is allowed one piece of hand luggage not exceeding 55x40x23cm and 7kg.
  • Essential items such as medicine, travel documents, jewelry, a camera, a change of clothes, and other personal belongings should be packed in hand luggage.
  • Avoid bringing expensive jewelry. Leave it in a safe at home—you won’t need it on this trip.
General Baggage Guidelines
  • Plan for shopping: If you intend to shop, leave some weight allowance in your luggage at departure. Excess baggage fees are very expensive.
  • Strict airline policies: Airlines strictly enforce baggage weight limits. Do not exceed the airline's baggage allowance, as excess weight charges will be at your own expense.
Protect your luggage: To prevent damage and for security reasons, consider:
  • Using a luggage cover (with a security lock), available at luggage stores, which can be reused for multiple flights.
  • Plastic-wrapping your suitcase at the airport before check-in.
